This cake represents everything about us and our wedding. It's symbolic to the holidays for our December 30th wedding. It reminds me of the cool, crisp air in Canton on that night. It's sleek and elegant just as our reception was. The taste reminded me of how things are made here in the South (Kentucky) where we are from, sweet to the taste and made with love. Our cake was perfection to the eye and heaven in the mouth. It's beautiful. Thank you again for making such a wonderful cake. Even at work today I got so many compliments on the cake. I cant wait until our 1 year anniversary to have some more. :) I can't thank you enough for everything, also letting us use your stuff and delivering everything. Everyone said so many great things about the cake. You have a true gift, I hope you see that your cakes are truly art that everyone gets to enjoy and something you will always be remembered for. As the desert centerpiece for our grand event was this fabulous cake. The butter cream exterior was designed around our Vow Renewal black-and-white formal theme with touches of red. However, the cake was filled with the warm fall flavors of caramel-pecan, apples, black cherries and cinnamon . All of our guests enjoyed a healthy portion because the Chef at the Inn followed Scott's cutting instructions to the letter. It was total perfection and the perfect finish to a perfect day. Our cake buffet was perfect. We loved it and all of our guests raved about the moistness and excellent flavor of all the cakes. Many went back for seconds! I absolutely loved my cake. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect cake on my wedding day! We actually had people arguing whether or not our cake was real. They thought it was just a bunch of boxes! ;) Not only did it look incredible, but it tasted even better.

Our wedding was last month (6/11/2011) and we have been craving cake since then. Scott did an amazing job on our cake! He designed it exactly how I envisioned it and the cake tasted delicious! The creme de cacao butter cream was amazing and the cinnamon cake with apple filling was a perfect match. Everyone at the wedding was more impressed with the cake than the food. This cake was the most amazing cake I have ever seen at a wedding,

and I am so grateful it was my wedding cake! The outside was icing, but smoothed so perfectly, it shocked my guests when they found out it wasn't fondant. The cake was made of apricot pudding and red velvet with cream cheese filling, and was to die for! So moist and delicious! My guests loved it, and so did my husband and I. I highly recommend his cake!!

The cake for our June wedding was amazing! It was beautiful and tasted delicious. The only thing I was disappointed about is that we didn't have any left over at the end of the night! Thank you Scott!

WARNING: Do not choose And Eat It Too to make your cake Unless you want the compliments for the cake to outnumber those of every other aspect of your event; Combined. My wife and I knew exactly who our cake maker would be for our wedding at Gervasi Vineyards on September 18th. We had been to several events that had a cake made by Scott and were floored by his creative designs that, in my opinion, rival those found on cake based reality TV shows. There's only one thing better than Scott's cake designs -the Taste! We're not talking about typical dry vanilla and chocolate options here, Scott concocted gourmet flavors such as almond, spice cake, apricot pudding or chocolate rush and accompanied them with melt in your mouth butter cream flavors like maple, peanut butter, grand marinier, or chambord. With all these creative combinations, our cake tasting was a fun and refreshing meeting contrasted by the sea of never ending appointments associated with weddings. When Scott told us the cost of the cake, it was all I could do to not blurt out "Is That All?" Scott's cakes are extremely affordable, to say the least!

Our wedding cake exceeded our expectations on every level. He incorporated our many design ideas and achieved the somewhat eclectic, somewhat understated appearance we were looking for. The cake had a velvety and moist melt in your mouth texture and the flavor was off the charts. Everyone with a camera took pictures of the cake, which makes me wonder if it was the most photographed subject at our wedding. Two months after the wedding we are still receiving compliments and inquiries about it.

We couldn't have asked for a better cake than the one Scott prepared. The cake was absolutely beautiful and it matched the bridescolors perfectly; a simple and elegant white and pink. The cake, aslender, five-level tower, was decorated with the most amazing, edible snowflakes, made from icing and sprinkled sugar. It was perfect for our winter-themed, December wedding.
The creme de cacao butter cream icing was amazing. We mixed and matched a few different tiers, choosing chocolate rush cake with raspberry filling, vanilla cake with bavarian cream, and my favorite, almond with apricot filling. Each section of the cake was every bit as delicious as it was beautiful.
Every step of the process, from our initial cake tasting, through choosing the size, shape, and design of the cake, was a breeze, and the finished product was nothing short of outstanding. We would recommend & Eat It, Too! to anyone who has an occasion that demands a beautiful and delicious cake.

Our wedding cake was amazing, the detailed scroll work was beautifully done. The butter pecan cake flavor along with the layers of raspberry and the layers of vanilla were delicious.  We had so many compliments on the flavor along with the filling, and how moist the cake was. My husband and I had Scott design a cake for our wedding reception. We went with our instinct and trusted him to design us a cake fitting our wine theme and boy did he deliver!!! The cake was amazing - everyone at the party was awed and commented on how gorgeous the cake looked. The Quarry said it was the best cake they had ever seen! The best part - it was DELICIOUS as well! Scott and the wedding cake were absolutely perfect!!! He really took the time to hear us out and find out exactly what it was we wanted and he is very flexible!  For our wedding, we wanted a modern cake with traditional flavors. The cake that Scott created fitted our ideas exactly! My husband and I liked that we were able to taste a wide variety of cake flavors, fillings and icings before deciding on the perfect combination for us. I am the Mother of the Bride, and I cannot say how impressed we were with our Swirly Q’s cake on 7/24/10! Not only was it beautiful, it was delicious. This past week I had lunch with my daughter here in Oklahoma City. I told her about your cakes.  She looked into your web site. She and her husband enjoy watching Ace of Cakes. It surprised her that someone doing high end cakes would not use fondant. So, today I called her and asked her to take another little peak at your web site.  She grabbed her laptop, got on your site, and scrolled down on that first page.  The first thing she said was, "Um Mom, I thought he did not use fondant.  There is no way this stack of books

is in buttercream." I told her to scroll down a little and of course she found what you wrote between the two pictures of today's cake. She was shocked.  The next thing she said was, "He, or someone needs to call the Food TV network and bring that cake to their attention." I suspect others will be equally as impressed with today's creation. Just thought I would let you know that little piece of information.

Our cake was big blue and beautiful and we love love loved it! It was delicious and looked amazing! The butter cream is definitely the way to go. Scott was very professional and affordable, he never made any false promises and told us exactly what he could do. We designed our cake from various pictures in his books and it completely blew away our expectations. We definitely recommend him to everyone. Besides looking amazing, the cake was delicious, it was very moist and the filling was just as good. Our cake was completely eaten, which is an indication of how good it was!

 I expected nothing less and we got it. . . .the cake was beautiful and delicious.  Got lots and lots of comments on it.  The bride and groom were thrilled.

Our daughter’s idea of cupcakes for her wedding cake was surprising.  We had never heard of anyone doing this for a wedding.  However, Scott Devol was up for the challenge!  He accepted our daughter’s input and added his own creativity. He worked closely with us and kept us informed as new thoughts and ideas developed. The results were absolutely beautiful!  Each cupcake was decorated with the wedding couple’s last initial. Their own cupcakes, for cutting, had each of their beginning initials.  The guests loved the unique display.  The hotel is planning on showcasing our “cupcake cake” in their wedding literature.

With all this, I haven’t even mentioned the taste and quality of Scott’s product.  There were so many wonderful choices to choose from that it was difficult to decide on the flavors.  Scott had an inviting taste session where we finally chose the cinnamon cake w/ cinnamon frosting, and the almond cake w/ mocha frosting.   I’m sure anything we chose would have been just as delicious.  The frosting was not too sweet and overpowering, but smooth and creamy. The cake was delicate and moist.  The next day family and friends were asking if I had any of those delicious cupcakes left. (I had 2 hidden in the refrigerator for myself!)

It has been 2 weeks since our daughter’s wedding.  But, it only took 2 days for our friends to book their wedding cake with Scott!  I am already placing an order for my niece’s baby shower, and yes, it is for cupcakes!!  Scott Devol will be our “cake man” for as long as he continues to bake.

 The cake for my wedding was gorgeous! Exactly what I wanted and delicious! All the guests loved it, and I had a few guests ask to take some home. The most delicous cake I have ever tasted! It is amazing how wonderful of a job he does with buttercream (no one could have guessed that it was made without fondant). I actually had one guest eat four pieces ha ha. Definitely recommend his services. If my family or I need any cakes in the future, he is definitely the only baker I will go to.

I can not say enough about about how satisfied I was with Scott at & Eat It, Too! I was able to meet him in his home and taste first hand the wonderful selection of buttercream frostings and cake choices he offered. Scott also made a drawing of the cake that I chose for our wedding reflecting exactly what I told him. What was more amazing is the fact that I change my decision at the last moment in regards to the decor of the cake and he made it happen. Not to mention that the change I made was a pattern he never created before and it he did a fabulous job on it. When I walked in to the reception hall after the wedding, the first place I went to was the cake table...I was in tears! It was soo gorgeous and perfect! I cannot say enough about how compliments I received on my cake choice for it looked amazing and tasted amazing too!

What a delectable cake that Scott created and made for my daughter’s bridesmaids’ luncheon on 11-11-11!  We wanted to recreate the  Victorian tradition of a ribbon pull, where each bridesmaid pulls a ribbon to which is attached a silver charm. Depending upon the charm one pulls, it has a different message. For example, if a person pulls a rocking chair charm, it means that person will lead a long, healthy happy life. Scott baked an almond cake, layered with raspberry filling and topped with a delicious Chambord icing. It melted in one’s mouth! Everyone raved about this incredible cake which was aesthetically pleasing and delicious also.  He was able to create my vision simply from an oral explanation and a picture which I provided. I highly recommend his work. He truly is unique!

Scott Devol's creations are pure magic! At our cake tasting last summer, we knew we found the perfect baker. We wanted a mix of classic and the unexpected! Our colors were hot pink & zebra. Scott created the perfect cake! With a mix of zebra and classic quilting...it was AMAZING! The first time we saw our cake at the reception we were emotional. Scott was able to capture us as a couple and translate that into a cake. Without a doubt it was the best thing we have ever tasted! Butter pecan cake with vanilla filing , and orange cake with raspberry filing. Heaven on a plate! Our guests still rave about it! Scott designed the cake for our july wedding. It looked absolutly gorgeous and was by far the best tasting cake I have ever had. I loved how the cake was one of a kind. Your cake was far more than we anticipated. Many compliments were received on the design and the taste. Your cakes are very moist and very delicious. I was very surprised that each tier actually had 4 layers in each with filling between 1/4 of a tier and butter cream at the half section. It was fantastic that you were able to provide the top 2 tiers gluten free to accomodate the bride's allergy. We met with Scott a year before our wedding to sample the cake flavors, fillings, and frostings. We decided on a very complicated combination of the latter, but Scott was excited about it. We also chose a non-traditional cake design (ours is the "Happily Ever After" on his website) with flowers that he had never before made. I wanted everything on the cake to be edible, so he learned how to make hydrangeas out of royal icing. After he made them, he sent me pictures to get my opinion. I was very impressed! Scott went out of his way to give us everything we wanted for our cake. All of our guests raved about the design and the taste of it. He even transported the cake all the way over to the Youngstown area for us. Hands down, I would recommend & Eat It, Too!

 Scott recently baked a cake for our wedding reception. My husband and I really enjoyed working with him. He listened to our ideas and helped to put them into action. Neither my husband nor I are huge cake people, so he worked with us to incorporate cheesecake into our cake. From the outside it still looked like a gorgeous, traditional wedding cake!
Not only was the cake pretty, but it tasted delicious, too. Don't shy away because he does not use fondant. The taste of his butter cream is too good not to use (and I'm not a big icing fan) and he smooths out the icing so well that you really can't tell it's not fondant until you bite into the cake.
Scott provided us with tons of options in terms of fillings, icings, cake flavors, and cheesecake flavors, and even offered us two tastings given our unique cake design. The regular cake tasting was free (he presented us with two plates loaded to the brim with options). Scott charged us a small fee for the cheesecake tasting, but he gave us the two four-inch cakes (two flavors in each) to take home.
I would definitely work with Scott again, and I highly recommend him (as do all of the guests from my reception!).

 Scott created a fantastic cake for my daughter's baby shower. We had sent a picture of the "Sweet Pea" theme that was to be used for the plates, napkins, centerpieces, and banner. Scott designed the three tier cake based on the colors and pictures that were sent to him. Each layer of the cake and fillings were different but Scott chose the icing and intensity of flavors that blended perfectly and were deliciously moist. The guests truly appreciated the appearance and raved about the taste of the cake. Imagine how striking the event was with the coordinating colors and theme. Scott is very creative, open minded, and a joy to work with!

 Hi Scott, I was at the Jared Levian event today in Canton, OH and had a chance to taste your delicious cakes. I was completely blown away my what I saw and what I tasted! I actually was shopping for my future engagement ring with my boyfriend, and he couldn't agree with me more. I took your card, and just wanted to give you the heads up: you'll be hearing from me for a tasting in the next year or so!

We had a cake as the centerpiece on every table, 5 different flavors. Our guests are still raving about how delicious the cakes were (almost nothing left!) and how absolutely beautiful they looked. Scott was very responsive and very creative. Each table had a card describing the cake flavor and also the flavor of the cakes on the other tables along with cutting instructions. Our guests cut their cakes at the same time we cut ours and it was a lot of fun!! We're very grateful that we were able to rely on Scott to make this part of our day so special and memorable.

Scott- Thank you SO MUCH for the beautiful cake! It came out even better than I expected! Everyone at the reception ate it within a blink of an eye, so not only was it beautiful, but tasty too! I will always remember my wedding cake and how lovely it was, and I have you to thank for that! You really do an amazing job. Every last slice was eaten besides my top, witch Im looking foward to eating next year! You will be hearing from us again for futur occasions! THANKS SO MUCH SCOTT! 

Thank you so much the beautiful cake. It was everything I imagined it would be. The cake was very moist and tasted great. Everyone loved the Key Lime filling with the coconut.  The butter cream/lime icing was very good.  I love the way you designed it, drew it out and then made it happen. You truly have a wonderful gift. I would recommend you to all my clients.

Thanks for the beautiful cakes! All of the flavors tasted great. We received many compliments on howbeautiful and unique the presentation was. I really don't know of anything we would have done differently. Several people commented that the icing looked like fondant and one lady said the cakes looked like giant petits fours! Great compliments to your cake decorating talents! Thank you so much, all of your efforts and communications with us were greatly appreciated!! The cake was absolutely fabulous!  

Scott was absolutely wonderful to work with. We were so impressed with his presentation when we had our first appointment to choose a cake. He is very fun to work with and is not high pressure at all. He made the whole experience very enjoyable. He is very accommodating for whatever situation you may have. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is considering a cake for a special occasion whether it be wedding, birthday, anniversary or whatever. Oh, and by the way, the cake was delicious. My daughter wanted a "funfetti" wedding cake and he made it. We had several comments about how delicious and beautiful it was. THANKS, SCOTT!!!!!!
